Hiring: Management Assistant

The consultant is an Australian currently employed by the World Bank, previously working with the Asian Development Bank.  The employer is also a consultant for various international financial institutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will act an analyst, researcher and proposal-writer supporting the consultant.  The projects where your assistance will be needed will focus mainly on financial sector development.  Prior experience is not necessary. On-the-job training shall be provided to allow you to effectively assist in the following tasks
  • Structuring financial products and proposals for investments into low income Asian countries
  • Conducting competitor research and analysis to support business proposals for financial sector development work
  • Identifying leads and client needs for risk management and insurance products

 With experience in financial sector development in more than ten (10) countries, three post graduate degrees in economics, accounting and finance, the employer is well capable of training you and helping you enhance your project management skills and your understanding of small businesses management, financial sector development, and the inner workings of international banking and development agencies in Philippines and Globally. 

As a management assistant, the following administrative roles shall also be part of your responsibilities.
  • Liaising with partners and vendors in Australia regarding financial and legal matters
  • Researching and proposing action steps in resolving issues with left-over businesses in Australia
  •  Assisting the consultant in personal administrative matters such as booking airlines and hotels, coordinating with bank representatives, etc.

The work may be full or part-time (20-40 hours/week) depending on the demands of the job and your personal circumstances.  You will be based in Metro Manila with possibility of travel should it be necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • A college degree in finance, economics or business administration from a good university     
  • Flexible and can handle a small business environment
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Confident and comfortable with dealing with expats and foreigners and calling overseas for research and requesting new information
  • Highly organized, enthusiastic, and can work with minimal supervision
  • Able to work at home, has personal laptop, Internet connection, and phone
OPTIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (NOT REQUIRED):
  • Relevant work experience
  • Legal literacy
  • Several years’ relevant work experience
  • Experience in events management, writing business proposals and project designs
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management
  • Exposure to financial sector development and/or microfinance, small business operations

SALARY:
TBD monthly depending on the qualifications of the candidate and number of hours rendered if working as part-time.  Communication and transportation allowance shall be provided.

TERM:
Six (6) months initial contract, with high possibility of medium-long term contract depending on candidate’s qualifications and personal circumstances.

Hiring: Executive/Personal Assistant

He is looking for an executive/personal assistant who can work full or part-time (20-40 hours/week depending on the demands of the job and your personal circumstances) and can help him with
  • Liaising with partners and vendors in Australia regarding financial and legal matters
  • Researching and proposing action steps in resolving issues with left-over businesses in Australia
  • Performing administrative roles such as updating consultant and partners’ calendar, managing external requirements requirements such as invoices and payments, filing reports, hiring new staff, etc.
  • Assisting the consultant in personal administrative matters such as booking airlines and hotels, coordinating with bank representatives, etc.
If you have the following qualifications
  •  A college degree or impressive work experience.  A financial background such as commerce and accounting is an advantage but not required.
  • Reasonable financial literacy
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Highly organized, enthusiastic, and can work with minimal supervision
  • Confident and comfortable with dealing with expats and foreigners calling overseas for research and requesting new information
  • Flexible and can handle a small business environment
  • Able to work at home, has personal laptop, Internet connection, and phone
